WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM YOU AS OUR PHOTOGRAPHER?

Before your photoshoot there will be a lot of planning. We will talk about location, outfits, and the mood or feel you want for your images.  On the day of your photoshoot we will have fun and create beautiful images! Afterward the images will be edited and uploaded to an online gallery where you can view them, share with friends and family, and download your high resolution images.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE IN OUR FAMILY PHOTOS AND HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR EXTRA PEOPLE?

You can have as many people as there are in your family! In my mind there’s no such thing as “extra” family members.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE OUR IMAGES.

It varies depending on which session you book. Usually within 2 - 4 weeks.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

I will send you a detailed guide on what (not to) wear and I’m always available to help. After you look through the guide, you are welcome to send me photos of different options for each family member and I’m happy to help you choose and put together a perfect outfit for everyone that goes together perfectly.

DO STORYTELLING FAMILY SESSIONS HAVE TO TAKE PLACE AT HOME?

The goal is to tell a story of your day as a family. At home there's usually more interaction between all family members, but your session could involve taking your kids to a soccer game, playing at the park or going to the grocery store. During the planning of your session we will brainstorm options and I'll answer all your questions. Please keep in mind some private spaces don't allow photographs or require that a permit be obtained prior to the day of your session.

I LOVE THE IDEA OF THE STORYTELLING FAMILY SESSION, BUT WOULD ALSO LOVE A MORE CLASSIC FAMILY PORTRAIT

A great option is to combine the storytelling session with a regular portrait session.  This would be very similar to they way I used to cover weddings. Starting with the bride getting hair and make up done and getting ready with all her friends and family and then photographing the wedding portraits. I’m photographing your behind the scenes with your family getting ready for your family’s photo shoot, giving the kids a bath, preparing snacks and all the things that happen in between and then finishing it up with your family's portrait session. I basically want to be your Pete Souza.

WHAT IF THE KIDS ARE FIGHTING, THE HOUSE IS A MESS AND MY NEIGHBOR STOPS BY ANNOUNCED?

My goal is not to shoot your ideal or your best day, but just a day. One little snip it of your story. Regardless of how the day goes, it will still be filled with details and interactions that will only grow in time in how special and meaningful they are to you and your family.
